Key cabinet

I made this key cabinet for my friend when he moved to a new apartment. It’s made totally out of birch plywood and the door design is a little bit unusual. =) As you can see from the pictures the door rotates 360 degrees. It’s held together with two 5mm birchs pins. The frame is just simple 45 degree joint in every corner. Easy to glue up using blue tape as “clamps”! I did coat this cabinet with walnut coloured stain/lacquer. The hooks are just simple brass hooks, from local store.

Pretty slick. Attractive, functional and just a tad out of the ordinary. What more could you ask for?

I like that you were able to make design use of the ply end grain. Looks good.
