Got friends that I owe favors to who drink a lot a wine. This seemed like the most logical solution.
Design is stolen from fellow lumberjock Radu . His are a little sleeker and more elegant. I changed the design to feature a wider face board to show off a pair of dovetail joints.
The trick that makes this work well is the round-overs in the wineglass slots. I used 1/8th inch round-overs for the slots then went over where I wanted the glasses to stay with a 1/4 round-over. This causes the glasses to seat and “lock” in the rack.
I used terrible African “mahogany” that I got for cheap on my first one and walnut on the second one. On the walnut rack I had the friend who was getting the finished product do most of the work while I supervised and drank refreshments.
