Finished with my first real project – it’s the popular Wood Magazine 3-in-1 crib, made entirely of black cherry hardwood with a few minor design customizations. Thanks to those who posted photos of the same project and also thanks to forum member grantd for taking the time to take extra pictures and answer a few of my questions – it all helped a ton.

The changes I made include slats all around, hardwood for the panels instead of ply, no beveled headboard and no bed rails/hardware (2-in-1). I finished it with one coat of Tried and True Varnish then Tried and True Wood Finish. Like already mentioned, this was my first real woodworking project and I learned more than I ever thought I could from just one piece of furniture. I finished with barely enough time to spare for the arrival of our first!
