I made this little jig to mill the arrow shafts for putting on hardwood footings.
A close up look at the ends of the shaft shows how you need to mill the shafts. Then you glue on the hardwood. My preference is purple heart, it looks great and is quite durable.

I have never seen a footing jig such as this, I have studied some techniques but never this. I;d be interested in seeing more of the process.
