Had a whale of a good time at the wedding of a young couple this weekend. I started out making my standard wedding gift of a rolling pin and when I have time knife and holder, but since they love fishing I came up with some fishy ideas. One led to the other so they really hit the jackpot, and I am missing one, a fish oven rack puller and pusher, must have forgot it at home. I will separately post a couple of the projects in more detail as some may want to copy the idea. My favorite is the fish bottle balancer, and then the idea of using triangular pieces of wood for a bread board so the surface doesn’t get cut up.
The wood is maple and paduck for accent. The maple was salvaged from the side rails of the bunk beds the bride slept in as children, When their parents where moving the beds where being thrown out and I of course being a scrounger took the side rails home. I thought she would treasure them more.
If any one is interested in any particular one I could post it for you. Thanks for looking and comments are appreciated.
