this is carved in buckeye wood, arrow is mahonany. feathers are woodburned and painted in basswood. i like buffalos and the story of the white buffalo is alwaysinteresting.
and they are a big part of the native american history.

thank you dic, this one started out as a full figured buffalo. but the hind legs did not like me. so he got turned into a bust ofa buffalo. :) thanks for the nice words

Really nice piece of art here, Pat. (The hind quarter is for freezer meat.)

true gerald. correct name is bison. but us native americans call it a buffalo. lol.

lol, i never knew it was not a real buffalo until i got older and started drawing animals. then found out it is not a true buffalo. but is ok, we can both call it what we want. both are right. lol.

and as for the english. lol i will keep my mouth shut. lol have friends in the UK and now two in Scotland.
