I have been using this bench for a few years now (completed in 2004/modified plan from Popular Woodworking) and realized I needed a set of bench dog holes and end vise for better clamping. The vise is made from maple from an old painted table top with the screw from Lee Valley. I wanted to do square holes, but I bought a pre-made workbench top and settled for round. I decided to use a square hole for the vise dog at least and add adjustable height. It is very nice not to have to worry when I get near it with a router or plane.

Thanks for looking.

Nice vice, I like the adjustable square dog. I notice you have them on the end vice as well. Great bench as well!

Really cool. I always wanted to make a similar work area but haven’t gotten ‘round tooit. I still have the 2-by maple boards I bought for the purpose. I saw some bench dogs somewhere that have a round “shank” and a square top. Maybe Rockler or Woodcraft. Anyways, nice job.
