Train Set with Box

I’ve made several of these train sets, this is the first with a box to garage them in. They are popular with grandkids and young birthdays. This one is made from all Alder (except box top and bottom which are thin plywood) and finished natural with wipe on poly.

Very nice.
Must take a lot of time making the train. I there carving involved or are they all cut pieces?

Great train and case. I can see it being handed down from grandson to great-grandson.

The box makes it special. Keeps it contained and safe.

Paul, I know this is an old post but I just came across it. What is the table the trains are sitting on? I’m very curious.
