Farm table I built for a customer – absolutely love the way it turned out. First time using General Finishes Gel Stain and also the first time I used their wipe on poly – absolutely loved them both. It was also the first time I used Charles Neil’s blotch control on Pine. Honestly – I think it was user error, but I wasn’t happy. I have used on Maple in the past and loved it. This time I but it on heavy because I knew this was going to blotch like crazy based on some testing. Unfortunately when I stained the first time you could see areas of puddle-ing where the blotch control had sat longer than other areas. Again, this is totally my issue, likely not anything wrong with the liquid itself. A simple sanding and I reapplied Gel stain and it looked great.

Great looking table. The contrast between the base and top looks amazing
