This is a votive/tea light candle holder I made from a walnut branch that a friend gave me. I made one a while ago and posted on here http://lumberjocks.com/projects/115257 before it was finished. After I applied wipe on poly the wood came alive and looked beautiful. That’s when I went to work and made about 16 more from the wood that I had. This is 1 of 2 that hold 4 candles, all the others hold 3. I used spray poly on the bark and wipe on poly on the cut surfaces. I made a crude sled to hold the logs on my band saw so I could make parallel cuts on the logs. Even though I slapped the sled together fast, it works great.

I really like the idea of a live edge for the holders. Looks great – might have to copy your idea!
