I made this jewelry box with the main body out of Hickory. The top is made with a Walnut basket weave and band. I used Figured Maple for the outside trim for the weave.
I used Dovetalls for the corners.
The tray is Hickory and I had a small piece of Indonesian Rosewood with some panels of lighter wood for the tray bottom.
Finished with 4 coats of Lacqure.
Pig Leather Suede lines the bottom of the box.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice looking jewelry box.

How did you attach the walnut basket weave to the frame?
