Some simple cars for my 2 year old granddaughter. Made from construction grade pine…cutting around the knots to result in them being clear. All are about 8 inches along and 1.5 inches wide. Purchased wheels. Finished with a couple of coats of mineral oil / beeswax mix (4:1). Quick work with a bandsaw, oscillating spindle sander, drill press, and a router. No plans really necessary..just sketch them up to your liking.

Simple is the best – I made a bunch like this (from magazine plans) years ago for kids in the family and neighborhood – kids love them. I’m sure you’ll be hearing the “purring” and “puttering” of engine sounds for a long time as your granddaughter enjoys these little treasures.

Thanks for sharing.

I have made many of similar type and have sold a few and given away dozens!

Nice cars and a neat quick project.
