I haven’t made any of these in a few years. I keep promising myself that I’ll make one for myself instead of giving them all away. This time I made three kinds, two oak versions and an oak/walnut version. The two-tone oak are definitely my favorite. They were a happy accident, I had stained the oak watch bands a dark mahogany but hated it. I sanded most of the stain off but the grain remained dark. I re-stained them with a mission oak stain which turned out very well. The last photo shows the progression. I have seven of these done or in progress for a craft show and gifts. Hopefully I’ll end up with one for myself finally. Thanks for looking.

All are very nice, where do you get your clock parts from?

Thank you. I ordered the clock inserts from Klockit.com. They are 2 3/4” and fit in a 2 3/8” hole.

These are definitely on my list, but I’m thinking I want to try a larger wall version

Very nice clocks. Remember the large one’s we all make in the 70’s to hang on the wall. Not nearly as fancy as what you have made

Very cool! I have a bunch of different clocks I have picked up a yard sales that would work great for something like this. And they are all different sizes to keep things interesting! Thanks for sharing this idea!

I too have made many of these and they are very good sellers. You can use many different woods to give different effects. I even segment different woods to mix it up a little. I have found that my popular sellers are themed inserts.

You did a very nice job on these. It is a fun project. Thanks for showing.

Realy realistic clocks. I like those various colours versions.
