Gentlemen Start Your Engines

This is a pair of race cars beds were completed in August 2009. I made them for display and decided to try to offer them in the red and blue with other colors being a special order. They are shown setting on the ground, but I have put them on a drawer pedestals before.

The nightstand was one I’ve had on display. I made it awhile back to look like a tool box.

The mirror was another one I already had. I built it at the same time I built one for a customer. I really wanted to build it and the cost was too high for the customer just to do one, so I made an extra one and lowered the cost. It is two stacked rings made from MDF. I cut the rings with a router on a long compass style jig. I painted them separately and put them together. The mirror is just an octagon. Circle mirrors are too hard to cut.
