This is a half-size raven carved for a special order. The bird’s head is turned slightly to his left. It is about 12 inches from tip of beak to tip of tail, carved from basswood, painted with acrylic paint. There is a standard square in the background for perspective. I’d call this a folk-art style, since no attempt was made to make the feathers realistic. It is difficult to take a photo of something that is black…
