This PingPong table is 4’x8’x2.5’, a few inches shorter and a foot short in length and width than a regulation size table…but it’s for my niece and nephews who are 3-6 years old. After building it I realized that it was just too large for seasonal storage. So I busted out the skill saw! It pivots on 5/8” bolts through a 2×4”. To keep the sides held up, I use 5/8” wood dowels (pinned). I used 2 rollerblade wheels, mounted on one end of the base, to allow easy movement. Since it is a Christmas present for them, I am using it as a workbench. The top surface is 1/4” fiberboard (I can’t recall the proper name of the material) mounted with (thinned out) wood glue and pin nails to a 1/2” particleboard. The top, although not very attractive, gives a very consistent bounce across the entire surface. I hope you like it and thanks for looking!
