Simple Frame

Project by Dooley posted 112 days ago 621 views 9 times favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

My wife and I needed a frame for a picture we wanted to give our Grandmother for her 80th birthday. We are flying to Virginia Beach in the morning to spend a great weekend celebrating life. I made this today in a few hours. It’s tiger maple and strips of ebony. Again lack of a macro lens isn’t showing you how the herringbone pattern is in play. I hope she loves it!

She will love it. In addition to the wood combo, grain effect and your execution skill… I like you proportions on the inlay. It strikes me as a well balanced frame.

Very well done. The tiger maple is beautiful. I second Dustyal’s inlay comment.
