Blame the picture on the poor resolution of my Blackberry camera, but here’s the latest pen from my workshop.
We had a friend and business partner to our offices last week who admired some of the pens and pencils that my friends and colleagues were using. So, I dusted off the lathe that hasn’t been worked in a while and set out to finish a new pen for our friend.
It’s on a Cigar pen frame in Antique Brass from Woodturningz, finished with PPP polish, HUT, and Renaissnace wax for a finger-proof finish. I think the wood is Tesora (sp?) and it turned beautifully. The grain and color goes very well with the antique brass of the frame.

Scotsman – many thanks. My photography skills need some help, but I’m getting better picking woods and pens.
Thanks again!

Very nice pen. I agree this wood goes very well with the antique brass finish.
Great job.
Keep it up.
