Copied this idea from http://lumberjocks.com/projects/62400. Nice way to store some planes. Mine is a lot deeper to accomadate the molding planes on the inside. And lukieB’s is a lot nicer wood and construction. But this will work for me untill I can get my hands on some nicer wood.
I was a little afraid that the 1/2” ply wood wouldn’t support all that weight, but nothing has fallen yet.

I like the flip top feature. I may have to go back and redesign mine. There is a lot of space back there for storage.

Something I really need! How is the bottom shelf attached, looks like some separation in the gap?

Just glue and screws. That edge wasn’t really square, I should have trued it up, but I thought I would see how I liked the set up before I spent any real time on it.
