This is another “Star” bowl. I call this one Evening Star. I like the idea of including a picture in wood of sorts in the feature ring. The top diameter is about 10”, the height is about 5.5”
The background for the stars is Purpleheart and the rest of the feature ring is Satinwood. The base is Goncalo Alves and the Padauk is used in the middle ring. The finish is Tung Oil and Wax.

Very nice work! The grain in the purpleheart really emphasizes the star….and the contrasts are excellent…
Alistair is right though…would be nice to see pictures of the process…..
Yet, I probably wouldn’t want someone to see me struggling with a my segmented vessels…..they are indeed difficult…and a lot of the times, at least for me, there is a tremendous amount of “luck” when/if everything clicks together…
