Segmented Ornaments and stands

Some segmented ornaments for Christmas gifts this year.

Each globe is about 2” in diameter, and consists of 24 pieces of wood, hollowed to about 1/8” wall thickness. The finials and icicles were turned from pen blanks … some exotics, but I’m not sure what species.

The stands are maple, turned off-center, with 3/32” brass rods.

Finish is spray lacquer (rattle can).

Nice work and nice touch with the stands I’m going to steal that idea.
