Some friends are having their first baby. I have made other toy boxes for friends before, but they were just plain white and nothing special. They asked for a NY Yankee toy box. They were just hoping for a NY logo on the toy box. After looking at the new Yankee stadium I decided to put the facade on the back of the toy box with little Yankee pendants. Also put the Yankee pinstripes on the front and put there last name on the top like they are on their jerseys.

It turned out awesome and they appreciated the gift. The kids entire room is Yankee stuff…but the toy box was too big so the dad has it in his room. Which is also full of Yankee stuff!

That’s awesome! I’m thinking about putting a facade around the top of the yankees area of my gameroom, maybe with some LED strings underneath… did you design the layout yourself? How did you figure out the arc?

Looks great… I really like the box – did you use special hinges to keep the little hands safe? I’ve been looking into it, and not sure if the ones on the Rockl*r website are worth it…

Also – not to be picky… but Yankees don’t have names on their jerseys. ;-)
