Router Table

Project by Timbo posted 113 days ago 672 views 4 times favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I did have my router table attached to the right side of my old craftsman table saw but when I recently purchased a new saw it never made back in service so….....Today I took a day off from work to enjoy a birthday in the shop. I made this to hang on the wall using a French cleat, a direct ripoff of one of the woodworking magazines I read at the bookstore this past weekend. Its made from left over melamine and plywood from kitchen cabinets I’m finishing up. Tried it out this afternoon, knocked out six cabinet doors and it worked great.

I like it. Looks great and I like the idea of hanging it off the wall.

Looks like a nice set up. Bet it’s easy to sweep under.

Thanks all,
Its a good fit for me, its simple, sturdy, and I used up some excess sheet goods in the shop. It doesn’t take up much space and I can easily move it if needed. Yep, sweeping up is a breeze although not much is needed with the shop vac attachment…...provided I remember to turn it on!

I have to say that you have inspired me. I am in a wheelchair and in my house I have roll under sinks and stove top. It was the first thing that I thought of when I saw it. This would be an excellent addition to my new shop. I don’t think that I would put it on cleats, but it will work. I am now really excited to do this.

That great sac, glad this will help you out in the shop! You don’t need to make the cleat but they make the tool portable.
