A Mindless Saturday

I have just finished some big projects ( for me ) and was thinking about not playing in the shop this weekend. I figured Saturday I would have a little more coffee, maybe blow some leaves or just putter around. That was until my wife said “maybe I’ll get out the Christmas decorations today”. I have never been water boarded, but putting all that stuff out has got to be a close second in the torture ranking.

Sooo off to the shop with no particular project. Looking around I saw a lot of small pieces of different woods from past project. A lot ends up in the wood stove, but I decided what the heck, wonder what I could make out of all this stuff.

6 or so hours later and ta-dah, a bunch of cheese boards, and some fun push sticks. Check out the bottle opener attached to the end of the push stick. Now I know not to drink and saw, but hey I figured at the end of the day, no need to find an opener for that ice cold soda :)

Really nice cutting board and those push stick look really comfortable.

Nothing like the threat of getting the Christmas decorations out as a motivator to get into the shop ;)
