I’ve have seen a few of these out here. This is my version of the Woodsmith shelf.
The wood is pine. Painted with oil-based paint. I was really surprised how fast this project went. It is a great starter project.

Dr of Dust I like it. I’m so used to jumping into big stuff this would be a nice weekend endeaver.
