Some one, I can’t remember who, said that when he is stumped for projects he builds a box to get the juices flowing. Well, that’s what I did. I’m sure most of us have a lot of scraps that are from old projects, and that is what I used. I took the biggest bits I had and found dimensions that I could cut that still looked decent. (As I’ve said before, cut offs have to be pretty small to land in the kindling pile). The box is 20” x 16” x 10” with a piano hinge across the back, a friction hinge to hold it open and “slider” feet to keep it from snagging carpet or scratching floors. ;o)

A rather spiffy little chest. Looks to be just the right size for a youngster’s treasure box.

Great job on the use of scrap. Was looking through the scrap pile yesterday and had the same thought. New project to come.

Kind of funny, I pay zip for the wood (cause it’s already there) and spend a bunch on hardware! By the way the red is called “Sweet Tomato”, also kind of funny… ;o)

I love the Steve Young poster on the garage door! I’d go with Montana. Even though he broke my heart.

Yeah, Joe was quite the player. In a way it’s unfortunate that Young didn’t get to play sooner his stats would really be astronomical and that’s why SF kept him locked up.
My favorite of all time for keeping cool and being able to take a licking, get up and fire the ball again is Terry Bradshaw. I’ll never forget the play when they were piling on and all of a sudden you saw an arm with the ball, a bald head pop up without a helmet and bang! Hits his guy for a td. Neat.
