I completed these nesting tables in about November 2008. It was a relatively simple project that took me a long time because I am a bit of a beginner. It was the first time that I used claro walnut which is an absolutely beautiful wood with swirls and color changes. The top is made from a cheap maple plywood veneer and the walnut sides are attached for extra strength with some Festool dominos. I later realized you can get much better quality maple plywood veneer. I also finished the whole thing with an oil varnish mix which ended up yellowing the maple but I am the only one that notices that. The legs are of some cheap maple that ended up having some very light birdseye pattern but only if you are looking hard.

They look fine from the pictures. I like that maple tends to get a little darker with a clear finish on it.
