This is a maple hollow form vase, spiral carved then textured with a woodburner.

What a great turn Tom, I can see the John Jordan influence with this one, very nice form , carving & finishing.

Pete, your right, I followed Jordan’s tutorial for making this vase. It took me a lot longer because he has much better carving tools and I’m not a carver.

I want to do some carving on a bowl Tom, but not that much! Looks great. The only burning I do is my name on the bottom but I don’t find it easy to handle the burner, awkward, I’ll be looking for one that is easier to use.
