I was not too sure about what to do with myself this afternoon, So I went down to the shop. Just didn’t feel like getting into a bigger project so I settled for some of these little garden mushrooms I have seen posted here in the past.
Great way to kill a bit of spare time and have a hoot at the same time. Also gets rid of some of those little branches that just seem to find there way into the shop.
I can highly recommend this little turning project to anyone, but especially the newbies like myself !

I agree it’s a good way to use up some wood. What are the dimensions?

Nice shrooom! I to like to spen some time at those also. Great little practice pieces.
How much did you hollow the cap? Is it green wood? If so, it will warp out of shape and look even more natural.
Great job.
Keep it up.

Like it, it’s a neat idea on spending time in the shop without getting into a big project like you said. One thing though what are the measurements???
