Wanted a new flat screen and didn’t want to wall mout it, and didn’t like the store bought cabinets.

Thank you both, for the kind words. I must admit though, that I build nothing without plans, I am just not that imaginative. Does that mean I cheat?

Very cool. I am working on one now. Same reasons. Didn’t want wall mount and store stuff is crap or couldn’t get dimensions I wanted. Mine is going to be 64” wide by 34” tall. Planning matching bookcases on each side. What are your dimensions?
