while this isn’t a prise winning piece of art I like it.
my father had a bunch of scrap ply wood and I glued it together to make one wide and long piece of wood and started carving it. though I may paint it later its a finished piece for now.
let me know what you all think.

Thats pretty cool. I’m wondering how in the world you carved the plywood? Somehow I think that would be really hard.

I agree with Skywalker. Plywood it is not hard, as in dense, but it must be a pain to try to carve….

the ply wood isnt too hard to carve but it does split wrong if your not careful. I used a pattern from a real m14 and tharted from there.
my main tool is an exacto knife set
its a big difference from the drawings I do and when it starts looking right it just feels good.

Cool work, seems you have a thing for guns, I seem to have the same interest in blades, i did some in wood. I really like the fact your using plywood, I might have to try that. Keep up the fun work

the part I liked the most in carving this was the depth I achieved by using ply wood, cutting each section to scale then shaping it all with a mini-plane
glad I could give any help for ideas
