Just a little knock up I made today to try out an idea.. I bought all that European wild cherry and some of the pieces were tapered so I glued up a few with a strip of PH in between. It was then cross cut and rolled.. same old same old. This is #1 of about 100 to 150 I need to make in the next 7 weeks.
Something for you Eddy. Last pic is without oil.
I am still using the Titebond III.

Yeah I am off to the Melbourne Working With Wood Show.. Invited by the guys at YAS Engineering… makers of the Torque Work Centres…. I will be at the largest woodworking show in Australia.. Anyone there come and say Gidday.
Hope to take a few.. hundred …. boards and Lazy Larrys.
If I sell all of them you will not hear the end of it.. If I sell none you will not hear from me again,, lol
The Kangaroo is made on the Work Centre by way of a template and overhead pin router set up.

150 boards !!!!?? I think the easiest solution for this amount of boards is to do a glue up 8’X4’ stack a couple of these sheets and put them on the wee beastie for cut up. That would only take a day or so. LOL
Love the Kanga mascot.

Larry,
You are one of the most creative guys I know! Your designs are just so impressive!
I love the way you take something simple and re-design it to look great!
That wee beastie will only make your projects more impressive…but 150 boards, yikes!!!!

outstanding work, as usual for you Larry, you mentioned having a job, what do you do for a living, if you don’t mind my asking, and how do you find the time to do all of these cutting boards, if you have a job?

Outstanding work! Your boards allways amaze me. You come up with some of the fuzziest designs I have seen. (they make my eyes lok fuzzy with those wavy lines) haha
Great build! Don’t you ever sleep?

Hi Larry;
Nice board. I swear you must have used drugs at some point to come up with these design ideas. LOL
Maybe you need to tell us which drugs, for inspirational purposes only!
I’ll be watching this for sure.

FANTASTIC DESIGN !!! Just enough PH to add a sweet accent to the board : )
Does the European Cherry darken with exposure to sunlight as does the American Black Cherry ?

Another beautiful board. I found the comment above about drugs interesting and I’m wondering if the cutting board association has been around testing you for board enhancing steroids.
Hope you enjoyed demonstrating at the show (assuming you have been there already).
