I think this is more a cabinet than a shed as it is only 32” deep and 12 feet long. The space where I wanted to put it didn’t afford room for a small building and the more I thought about it: if you have a building where you walk inside; either you fill the center walk space with stuff so you can’t get in there, or it is only empty walk space. So I built a cabinet with enough overhang that rain doesn’t run down my neck even though I am standing outside. I made it match the house with some leftover clapboards and painted it to match.

The floor only required 1 sheet of ply and some PT scrap 2 bys. The headers or skids are 12 foot 2×6. I set it up on a couple of old pieces of wood flooring so I could slide it back close to the house once assembled. Even without the roof on, it was a grunt to move it back. Its more “Box” than “Building” ~ few studs

Great project. I am getting ready to build something on this idea. It will be a 10’ X 5’ addition off the back of the kitchen on the new house we are building. Wife decided she would like a large pantry. Entry from a slider right off the kitchen…don’t want to mess up the cabinets in the kitchen

Trust me, in 6 months or less it will be too small – no matter how big it is. Matches the house quite well. Nice work.

I slapped a 2’X6’ shed together out of T1-11. Yours is orders of magnitude nicer! Well done.

That’s a great yard tool cabinet. Congratulations.
