I built this for my son about 4 years ago.
It is now a Captain’s Bed and separate dresser for him as a pre-schooler.

ToGoMan,Turned out GREAT…something to be proud of…bet it is passed down from child to child for generations. Bot I bet you are more proud of what is “IN” the bed than the bed its self. He is cute.
By the way…I see you have been a member for about a month…but this is your first post…so welcome to LumberJocks !!!!

Looks great! Where did you get the plan?Do you have pictures with it set up as the captains bed?

I got the plans at Woodzone. I modified them for bottom drawer placement.
I also added the changing table on my own quick design to match the crib slats.
For the captain’s bed, I simply removed the crib slats and drawers for a larger base and placed his mattress on top.

Nice design! Are the 3 vertical drawers removable? Cute baby. He will be in kindergarten soon.

Lucky for me, he was willing to test-drive while I was finishing the changing table!

Yes. The drawers are a separate unit and they can be removed to make the base large enough for a toddler-size mattress.
HE gets to move this monster when he outgrows it!!!

Nice work! How many hours did it take? Sweet! It doubles as a bed later! Thank you both for sharing.
