Hey, guys! Here is my latest shop build, a Mobile Miter Saw Station. I took a lot of cues from other designs and then made several of my own modifications. The stand is 39” tall and has a 93-1/4” wing span. That gives just under 4’ of support on each side of the blade and allows me to do end cuts on 8’ boards with full support.

The whole thing is made from baltic birch and I added a Kreg Trak system with swing stop and stop blocks. These are awesome for those repetitive cuts. I also added a vacuum along with an iVac automated vacuum switch. This turns on the dust collection when the blade is spinning and then turns it off a few seconds after the cut is done. It doesn’t catch 100% of the dust, but is a big upgrade over the bag.

Both the saw and fence are completely adjustable and removable as I mounted them to the based and side wings with INCRA threaded knobs.

You can go check out the full build along with free downloadable plans at my project post Mobile Miter Saw Station at

Let me know what you think!

Brad, his thing looks great! Someday I’ll get to building one of these, someday…

I like it. All I have is a rollaway cabinet similar to yours. Now you’ve got me thinking how I can add the wings like you did. Thanks for the inspiration.

Just what I was looking for. Getting tired of the metal stand with the spread out legs

Brad, this is a mighty fine miter saw station. It will be a great addition to anyone’s shop. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.

Your design is really great. Love the fact that you can fold down the support tables for maximum use of shop space. Also like the direct connection to the vacuum. Thanks for sharing!

Brad, curious how this has held up to use. Any sag in the wings? How often have you had to adjust them?

Have your say...
