Just some boards for my next show. The fourth board is not my favorite – but I’ve sold quite a few of that style – so I’ve made a few more. The little one in the third picture is a mini-chaos end grain. The last picture shows the side detail of the fifth board. The woods used are: walnut, maple, cherry, mahogany and a little ash. Finished with mineral oil.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks to both for the complements!

Nice looking boards. I have my last show of the season coming up on the weekend of the 20th. I have a bunch of stuff I still have to post but I didn’t get that elaborate. It seems this time of year the fancier doesn’t do so well. People are looking for the smaller <$50 items mostly so I go with the simpler boards, smaller trays and knick knack type items. Good Luck on your show, these should pull some looks.

Thanks all. Jim – I’m lucky that I have a pretty steady market. Most of the product I take this show will be just south of $65 – closer to an average of $45. I have my one “Wow I’ve got to see that board” that I use to pull people over and almost all will ask questions and then they have a chance to see what else is available. My last show will be Dec. 12 – an outside show in Texas – it gets cold here but not like NY. Although last year was a bit brutal I still sold all but 3 boards. I’ve got high hopes for this year with an eye to taking a bite out of my hospital bills. I will be taking quite a few stocking stuffer items also. We’ll see how it goes.

With any luck the vendor with the lazy susans will be there. We feed well off each other and that always helps. He also has some amazing lincoln log type toys that are amazing.

Good luck on the 20th I hope it goes really well.

Thanks Larry – hope it’s going well down under.

Thanks Ellen!
