2 Tiger Myrtle boxes

Had 1 piece of Tiger Myrtle, I guess it would have been about 7cm square by 23 long.
It was made into these 2 lids.
I think if I’d cut it a little angled, the figure would have been better,
but might have been a bit short on for 2 lids. Risky to try it.

Cannot recall what the wood is for the bright one. And yes it is that bright.
Danish Oil.

The 2nd has Queensland black wattle sides and queen ebony trims.
May have used oil-based poly. Or even water-based. The black-ish rim
was expected to complement to black-ish spots. Hey maybe I should
leave it out in the sun to age. Summer in Brisbane → shouldn’t take long.

I like that ebony trim contribution! Really does compliment the dark spots. Very nice.
