This is a toilet paper/magazine rack that I made for Christmas presents last year. It was the first project that I made to give away. Mostly before I just tinkered in wood working but when my wife asked me to make these I got serious. It turned out pretty good so I made about 12 of them. Everyone liked them so I have gotten more into it. I just finished a bathroom remodel so now I can start working on more projects.

fun project…I am making som adirondack chairs—-I mention that because you said after you made the first one you went on to make 12…my question to you is—-with the repetition of the project do you feel like you improved your skill…I have been building big things…and no repetition…so I am making 4 chairs…my hope is that I will really get to learn more by slowing down and repeating some steps…

A worthy project to cut your teeth on. Well executed!

Great going, Paul! Of all the “things” I make what I really need is a magazine/toilet paper holder for the bathrooms in my house. Art is good but most times just plain old practical is best!

I could use one of those myself. My wife has been asking for something like that.
You did a nice job of it.
