The vanity is made from solid cherry with a cherry plywood back and a slate top. I wanted it to look free standing but it is fixed in place.

The mirror is quarter sawn cherry.

This is a gorgeous addition to your bathroom. I like the style and look of the vanity. And, of course, what is not to like about the cherry!!

How did you finish these pieces?

Beautiful! I like the design of the vanity. I would also like to how you finished these pieces, since they are in the bathroom.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Much appreciated. The finish I used is “Hard Wax Oil”. Not sure if it is available in the USA. It is very hard wearing and is liquid resistant. It goes on easily (like varnish) and shows off the grain really well. It is normally used for coating wood floors but is equally good on any furniture that needs a little extra protection. In the UK it is made by Fiddes and a few others
