This is bandsaw box that I created in woods class. The box was constructed of scrap wood laying around the shop. It was constructed of 4 pieces of Alder laminated together. The box turned out good and I do not notice the individual pieces of wood. It looks like one solid piece of wood. I designed my box with with a curve inward in front and an outward curve in the back. The drawer handle I designed as a K because my last name starts with a K. I used a dark cherry stain. I used a satin polycrylic finish.

I see your whole class posted bandsaw boxes, but this shape catched my attention. Very unique elegant shape and dark colour looks just great.

I agree with my friend Ivan. Out of all the boxes I like your design the best.

The curved back and the sweep of the sides toward the front is really clever. The first thing that popped into my head was Darth Vader!

I don’t know how much time you guys had to work on this project, but for future reference, the more sanding you do the better the project will turn out. A lot of woodworkers complain about sanding as being a pain in the neck, but I love it. Sanding is when the project turns into gold.

Good job and I hope you keep up with woodworking when your class is over.

I think you and JackMas had the two best designs.
