Isn’t it just so amazing how those microscopic fungal spores producing their mycelium are able to produce such beautiful aesthetics when working the wood down through those scars created by such.
This piece of spalted maple turned out to be an interesting, eye catching piece or at least i think so.

Chris I think it’s interesting also. A project that is on my goals list. Do you have any suggestions for my first lathe. I’ve never done any turning but that call is an inspiration to start. I bet it sounds great!!

Well done! Very nice! I have a cousin that is an avid waterfowl hunter, and have wanted to try my hand at turning some calls….have done mostly segmented turnings so far, and wanted to parlay some of that into game calls…Nice to see ideas on here…great place to check out items like this! Keep up the awesome work!
