I thought I’d do a “double duty” with this one—a sign for our picnic and a Summer Awards Project.

I might try it again to see if I can do it better next time but until then, this will be adorning our backyard.

Wood: cedar sign; walnut, pine, and something or other wood (stuff I had kicking around)
Process: scroll saw and pyrography. and intarsia

Seeing it from a distance is great—it looks just like the logo!
It is now hanging up in our gardens.

Yes, I agree with Dennis, you’re woodworking is definitely improving. I like your use of the natural knot hole.

thanks guys. I can’t wait to see all the signs that people have said they are going to make. I will be looking for tips and tricks to improve mine.

Don, it’s a “mosquito house” – my aunt brought it to our LumberJocks’ picnic (woodworking, although she didn’t make it herself)
