Walnut end table I made during a hand tool class from Paul Sellers at Homestead Heritage near Waco, TX. Except for stock prep, we learned how to make all the joints (mortise and tenon using chisels and tenon saw), taper on the legs (saw and hand plane), the arched aprons (chisel and spokeshave), and surface finish (plane and scraper) by hand. Wonderful class that was a week long. If you live in Texas and want to sharpen your hand tool skill, I highly recommend it (you can check it out at http://www.homesteadheritage-woodworking.com/index.html).

Really nice work… I hope I can develop some of that hand tool work. I’d like to do some classes along that line. I also like what appears to be a natural finish? If you did it again, would you include a small drawer?
