My very first solo project

This was my very first solo project, a toy box for my granddaughter. I learned that green paint can cover a multitude of sins. Thank goodness she wanted it painted green. I hope it last long enough for me to replace it with a nice blanket chest when she’s a bit older. She just turned 8 today.

It looks like it will last not just for her, but maybe her daughter someday. Nice build. Cute.

Great job Kevin! I don’t think she will let you replace that with anything. I’m sure she’ll let you add to it though.

Kevin, Nice job. don’t see any mistakes from here. I’m sure your granddaughter is enjoying it and just think how much fun it’s going to be to build even more projects for her over the years. She’ll always remember this one as the “Best”!

I like the colors and the contrast, really makes the letters stand out. Nice job for sure. What kind of band saw is that behind the box in your picture? Have not seen one that color.Almost forgot, very clean shop by the way, I am jealous, mine has about 2” of sawdust on the floor, I might need to clean someday but most likely will not be today.

Have your say...
