White pine burial flag box i made for my wifes granfather, Homer crader. He was a sergeant in the navy and served in Vietnam.

The glass. Is not in yet. It goes in from the bottom after the flag. The the top will be glued to the base.

Im letting my wifes mother apply the stain and finish.

Nice job.

When I made a bunch of these flag cases a couple of years ago I decided to screw the bottom on after the glass was inserted. This was done just in case the glass is broken and has to be replaced. I used stick on felt pads to cover the screw holes.

I also used screws to attach the back after the flag was inserted. I made mine before they were needed.
