This was a quick project from one of the foursome to hang in the clubhouse. Every wednesday they play a best ball scramble, and they set the record for their group. (They play in the evening and only have time for 14 holes.)
This was actually the third try. I routed the signin by hand using a v-bit. The plan was to paint into the groove and run it through the planer to clean it up. I thought it was the last thing through the planer, so I lower the cut and out comes a beautifully planed board with nothing on it. The second one I messed up the letter spacing. The third one worked.
It’s on a piece of cherry finished with a few coats of BLO/MS/Gloss poly. About 10×12 inches.
