After buying a new bed with a nice thick pillowtop mattress, and a much taller frame than she is used to, my lovely bride (all 5’ of her) was having trouble getting into the bed… So a step stool was in order.
Matierials are 3/4 SYP, and 1/2” sanded SYP ply. Construction is rabbet, dado, and groove with pins and glue. Finish is Minwax natural stain with Minwax gloss poly. (Unfortunately no finished pics to post yet, hopefully I can edit this and add one later).
The style is what I would call “Mexican Rustic” and matches our master suite reasonably well. I think I should have done an oil & wax finish though…
This stool gets daily use, and is holding up great!
Thanks for looking.
