This is a built-in I did for my 9 year old daughter.She wanted a desk to match the platform bed I built her

Picture all that stuff on them shelves in the floor, on the bed, on the dresser, in the living room. my daughter needs one of them. Very good build, looks nice and neat.

I like this built-in a lot. What material did you use for the countertop? And, any pictures of the platform bed? I’m thinking of making a bed for my daughter as well.

Great design and build. The design will stay in style as she grows older and her toys, games etc changes. This is something she will enjoy for years.

The top is a granite looking formica that they sell at HD.I just had to cut it to fit.The original plan was to make the top of wood but this stuff is much tougher.I will post pics of the platform bed.I got the bed idea from a high end catalog which was selling a bed basically made by 2×6s for $1500.Mine came out to be about $50
