My daughter needed a desk and my wife ALMOST bought one at pottery barn for about $900!!! She didnt trust I would ever finish it if I started to build it. Well, I did. The best part was having my daughter help with some minor finishing. This is only my 3rd build after taking a woodworking class here in Chicago. Excited to get on my next project.

Don’t you just hate when you wife second quesses you? I tell my wife to have just a little faith in me. So when I turn out a good product and I tell her, “Ya, See.” Boy do I get heartache. Sure hope you don’t. By the way good job. Your Daughter thinks,”YOUR AWESOME DAD!!!!”

It did feel good to finish it. Now the family orders are coming in. This desk will last forever as I used tough joinery through out!

Nice job, Ernesto! What I enjoy most about woodworking is customizing to fit my needs versus purchasing a product that really doesn’t meet my needs. If you weren’t already, I’m sure you’ve become your daughter’s hero.
