I have been wanting to try this from seeing the first version with the steel bearing that was 1”. My version is a 3” x 3” maple cube drilled a 1”3/8 forstner bit for each side and using a 1 1/2” marble. The insertion was done slowly with a little mineral oil and then left to dry for 5 days before sanding and applying final coat of oil on the final block.

Pleased with the final look and now my son wants to make some himself. :)))
